2026-02-20 10:05:49
On February 3, 2026, we concluded our quarterly review of the peacebuilding project in Jebwuha, assessing progress in strengthening social cohesion between Oromo and Amhara communities. The review focused on addressing key drivers of tension, particularly competition over pasture and water resources.\r\nBy analyzing the work of thirty Resource Management Committees and monitoring the Conflict Early Warning System, we have refined our strategies to proactively prevent disputes and promote mutual respect and collaboration. The review highlights measurable progress in deconstructing long-standing grievances and strengthening community resilience.\r\nThis evaluation reaffirms that consistent engagement, inclusive dialogue, and strong local leadership are essential for building sustainable peace and lasting harmony.
